The most visual area of our body is our face. With time, lines and sagging occur on the face. In particular, excess skin under the chin, lines in front of the ears and drooping of the cheeks are disturbing. The aim of facelift is to provide a younger and more vigorous appearance.

Facial anatomy changes with age. Our bone structures become shorter and thinner, our muscle tissue loosens and loses its former dynamic state, and our fat pads become smaller and smaller. The aim of facelift is to return the sagging tissues to their former place and to remove the excess skin. Sometimes a single operation may be insufficient for this. In the classical facelift surgery, the facial skin and the tissue (SMAS) located on the underlying muscle structure are stretched from the edges, and the excess skin tissue is removed from the front of the ear. However, if the main factor is drooping of the cheeks, mid-face lifting surgery can be performed by moving the mid-face up with stitches during the lower eyelid surgery. In mid-face lift surgery, the tissues on the cheeks and sagging down are pulled up. Sometimes facelift surgery alone is not enough for the ideal result. In such cases, neck lift, eyelid aesthetics or fat injection may be required. A holistic approach is required for facial rejuvenation.

The surgery is performed under general anesthesia. The duration may vary depending on the additional attempts to be made. Since the traces will be hidden in front of the ear or on the lower eyelid, they do not attract attention. Swelling on the face may last 2-3 weeks. Depending on the operation performed, it may be necessary to wear a bandage for 1-2 weeks. Generally, it is possible to return to work life after 10-15 days.
